Swim, snorkel, boogie board or kayak on one of three beaches at Punta Leona (Playa Blanca, Playa Limoncito and Play Mantas). You never know what you might find- a moray eel, sea cucumber or even a turtle gliding through the blue waters. The beaches and waters at Punta Leona have been all given Blue Flag ratings by the government and are considered some of the best swimming waters in Costa Rica. Nature Trails and Bird Watching
Take a guided nature walk under the tall canopy where you will learn about the flora and fauna, insects, mammals and birds. Punta Leona is regarded as an excellent place for bird watching with over 330 migratory and resident bird species including the Toucan and radiant Scarlet Macaws who are famous residents here at Punta Leona. Try to wrap your arms around the famous 400 year old tree by the chapel.
Zipline Through Punta Leona’s Tree Canopy
See what its like to fly from tree to tree in the tall canopy of Punta Leona. Experience the adrenaline rush with the resort’s very own Zipline Adventures -this is where you can get a monkey’s view of the forest. Who knows you may even run into one of our many favorite friends, the White Faced Monkey and the Spider Monkey.
Learn The Salsa
Take dance lessons and learn how to Salsa or learn other popular Latin dances. Play a game of volleyball, tennis or soccer with your friends day or night.
Play a round of mini-golf with the kids, visit the butterfly farm, hike one of three trails or simply relax in around one of the three pools offered at Punta Leona.
